David B. Vornehm is an attorney at Drewry Simmons Vornehm, LLP, where he practices Construction Law, Public Contract Law, Surety Law, Environmental Law, Commercial Law, and Corporate Law. With over twenty attorneys practicing in construction law, Drewry Simmons Vornehm, LLP is recognized as one of the most experienced and preeminent construction law firms in Indiana and throughout the Midwest. Mr. Vornehm earned his B.A. from Indiana University, his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, and was admitted to the Indiana bar in 1993.
Mr. Vornehm is a frequent author and lecturer on construction law topics and is recognized as a leader in the construction law field. Prior to practicing law he was the Chief Engineer of the Construction Division of the Indianapolis Department of Public Works. Further, he was an Adjunct Professor at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. During his career he has helped clients in a variety of areas ranging from bid protests to representing contractors in performance and payment disputes with their surety and project owner.
